Michael Raduga's Indirect Technique

Indirect Technique

The indirect technique developed by Michael Raduga is one of the most beginner-friendly methods for achieving out-of-body experiences (OBE) or astral travel. This method is particularly appealing because it doesn't require separate relaxation exercises. The actual "separation" occurs upon waking up, when the body is naturally in a relaxed state.

Raduga approaches out-of-body experiences from a scientific perspective, but everyone can interpret and experience it in their own way. The technique is highly effective, and many beginners report success within just a few days of practice.

The Technique in Brief

The most important principle of the method is to not move your body or open your eyes for even a moment immediately upon waking. This may be the most challenging part of the technique for many, but mastering it is key to success.

Once you're awake but your body remains still, start visualizing specific movements. These can include:

Focus on the sensations and the feeling of movement during visualization, rather than visual imagery. You can enhance the visualization by lightly activating the muscles that would be used in the actual movement and moving your closed eyes in the direction of the motion.

If you start to feel movement in your body – as if your "phantom body" is activating – fully commit to this sensation. The movement may feel entirely real, which might require some courage at first. For example, rolling off the bed onto the floor with your eyes closed might feel intimidating, but this is a sign that you're on the right track. If rolling off the bed feels like too big a step, try visualizing sitting up on the edge of the bed instead.

During practice, you may feel strong vibrations or resistance in your body, as if an invisible force is trying to hold you back. This is a good sign – it indicates that you're close to success!

Once you've "rolled" onto the floor or sat up on the edge of the bed and the vibrations or resistance disappear, you can open your eyes and begin exploring the astral world. At this stage, the out-of-body experience has occurred, and you're ready to explore new dimensions.

During astral travel, you may experience an entirely new world and fascinating phenomena. You can find more information about astral experiences and tips for practice in our blog.
