What is Astral Projection?
Astral projection is a phenomenon where an individual's soul or consciousness is said to detach from the physical body and move to the astral plane—a spiritual dimension that exists alongside the physical world. This phenomenon is also known as an "out-of-body experience" (OBE) or "soul travel." Although it may sound mystical or even supernatural, astral projection has been practiced for centuries in various cultures, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, indigenous beliefs, and Western esotericism.
The basic idea of astral projection is that humans have both a physical body and an astral body. The physical body is the one we are familiar with in our daily lives, while the astral body is an energy and consciousness field that can travel in spiritual dimensions. Astral projection occurs when this astral body detaches from the physical body, usually in a state of deep relaxation or meditation.
During astral projection, it is often described that you can:
- Experience freedom from physical limitations. You can "travel" anywhere, be it a distant country, another planet, or a spiritual place on the astral plane.
- Feel a connection to the universe. Many describe feeling part of something greater, bringing a profound sense of meaning and peace.
- Develop spiritual abilities. Astral projection can deepen your intuition, self-awareness, and ability to experience the spiritual dimension of life.
